The Type field is the correct answer because it designates the specific nature of a territory in relation to a resource's assignments. In Salesforce Field Service Lightning, territories can have different roles in which a resource works, and the Type field provides clarity on whether the territory is classified as primary, secondary, or a relocation area. This classification helps in organizing resources more effectively based on their primary areas of responsibility and where they might be needed as secondary support or during relocations.

The other fields do not serve this specific purpose. The Role field generally defines the function or position of the resource within the organization rather than specifying territorial assignments. The Status field typically reflects operational states such as active or inactive. The Position field might indicate the actual job title or level of the resource but does not relate to territorial classification. Therefore, the Type field is crucial for managing and understanding resource allocations within various territories in the Field Service Lightning application.
